What’s so bad about counting your chickens before they are hatched? And what is a wolf in our sheep’s clothing anyway?
Discover life lessons about our foibles, common sense and humanity at the Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department production of “Aesop’s Fables,” a whimsical production that highlights Aesop’s imaginative fables, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Stagehouse Theatre on campus.
“Aesop’s Fables,” performed by 10 Grossmont College Theatre Arts students, is the college’s touring production for the fall semester. The legendary storyteller Aesop is credited with such expressions as “don't count your chickens before they are hatched," "a wolf in sheep's clothing" and "a sour grapes attitude." The cast’s costumes of animal characters help communicate life lessons to the audience, and the play illustrates our foibles, common sense and humanity.
The public is invited to attend the play, and its content is suitable for all ages. Admission cost is $8 per person. All major credit cards are accepted. The box office accepts phone orders and will be open one hour prior to all performances.
